  • Satcon founded out of MIT/Draper Labs

1992

  • Initial public offering on NASDAQ

2003

  • Introduced the PowerGate® Plus 100kW PV inverter, the world's first 100kW inverter in a single cabinet.
  • Established the standard for film capacitors

2004

  • Introduced first 225kW PV inverter

  • Chosen by General Motors to provide Satcon PowerGate Plus PV inverters for the General Motors car manufacturing facility in Figueruelas, Zaragoza, Spain—the largest rooftop solar photovoltaic power installation in the world
  • Chosen by American Capital Energy to provide Satcon PowerGate Plus PV inverters for the Atlantic City Convention and Visitors Authority (ACCVA), the largest rooftop solar photovoltaic power installation in North America
  • Awarded the Solar Energy Grid Integration Systems (SEGIS) contract for PowerGate Plus PV inverters by Sandia National Laboratories for the Florida Solar Energy Center (FSEC)
